Question: What if my address is different than the one on my W-2, do I put in the old address or the new one?
Answer: When entering in the W-2 info, don't worry about the address. Use the address on the W-2 itself, as that is the document that the IRS has and will match against. The address that is important, and the address that the IRS will process your tax return itself (and your refund) under, is the address on the Form 1040/1040A/1040EZ. Ideally, what you should do is contact your employer to let them know that the address on the W-2 is incorrect and have them issue a W-2C to show the correct address.
